U.S. Elections Follow-up

We are writing with an update following Tuesday’s U.S. elections. As you may have seen, the U.S. Chamber released a statement congratulating President-elect Donald Trump and Vice President-elect JD Vance, along with the members of the incoming 119th Congress and state and local officials elected across America.

As you know, the Chamber endorsed a number of pro-business candidates for House and Senate, many of whom have won their races so far. We expect that number to grow as additional races are called.  The Chamber already has strong relationships with incoming members of in the 119th Congress through early, targeted engagement, such as Free Enterprise Candidates Forums held at the Chamber. The Chamber’s Institute for Legal Reform’s voter education program also had a very successful election season, working with partners on the ground to secure several key victories in the states, including big wins in Pennsylvania’s attorney general race and in three seats on the Ohio Supreme Court.

We stand ready to work with the Trump-Vance administration and Republicans and Democrats in Congress to preserve pro-growth tax policies, bring regulatory relief to business, harness the power of AI to drive American innovation, and expand an all-of-the-above energy production policy. The Chamber will also continue to expand its work with our members to tap the benefits of international trade and investment in global markets.

We look forward to working with all of you to continue our work to advocate for the U.S. business community and robust commercial ties between the United States and partners in Latin America and the Caribbean. I hope to see all of you in Miami for AACCLA’s Strategic Planning Meeting as we discuss how we’re going to advance our trade priorities with the incoming administration.
